Physician Alison Tay holds a Bachelor of Chinese Medicine degree from Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, an Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore.
Physician Alison is an empathetic practitioner with a holistic approach to the health of her patients. Her thoughtful approach allows for a deeper understanding between emotional, psychological state and the physical body to evaluate any patterns of disharmony.
Physician Alison believes TCM can play an important role in complementing modern medicine and improving public health. She hopes to bring about more awareness and understanding of TCM therapies to a wider audience through English medium health talks, seminars and workshops. She has been a guest speaker and facilitator for many corporate wellness events.
Physician Alison has studied and practiced different specialized acupuncture techniques such as Tung’s acupuncture and Scalp Acupuncture to enhance treatment for neurological, psychological and chronic pain conditions. She was also previously a volunteer physician and was under the mentorship of the Head/Senior Physician for Stroke Rehabilitation at Singapore Chung Hwa Medical Institution.
